DamKoto take
A polished upper-midrange phone that feels closer to a flagship than its price suggests, with the screen, build and update promise doing most of the persuading.
Pros:
The brightest, most refined screen in Samsung's midrange here.
A genuinely capable main camera with OIS and a useful ultrawide.
Six years of updates and IP67 give it a long, worry-light life.
Cons:
No telephoto lens at this price stings when rivals offer one.
No microSD slot, so storage choice at purchase matters.
Current shop prices have crept well above the launch tag, weakening its value case.
